    • Trail UpdateLook Out For Bees-This trail is an extreme workout on the way up, and quite fun on the way down. I have done it many times with no issue but last week I ran into a swarm of bees after about mile 9(I think there may be some commercial hives around there). Nonetheless, it was super sketch and I had to turn around in a hurry.

Also, it is marked private property but I have had no problems in the past. However you should park at Oak Mesa elementary school, so as not to piss off the people who live in that gate.

    • Trail UpdateSunset Ridge To Baldy-Rode it this week thinking that the rain would have washed away the snow with temps in the mid-40s. No such luck - 4mi in the snow! Wadda bitch. The downhill past the radio tower was as much work as the ride up. Total elevation gain 4300' but about 4800' in total climb into Baldy from La Verne. Trail was in good condition when it wasn't covered with snow. Did have a dead deer laying across the trail, ran into a fox and came across mt lion tracks. Pretty eventful for a fire road ride...

    • Trail UpdateCow Saddle To Foothill-A friend and I rode this last week on Saturday, December 22. We were not sure were to park at the bottom, so we left a car parked outside of a gated community on wheeler and foothill? and took another car up to cow saddle. We started on the trail that veers to the left (2N07) and climbed to the radio towers). We then descended to an area where a sign indicated private property. The fire road is nice. A few joggers and a couple of guys on dirt bikes. Are there any other ways of doing this trail? there appear to be alot of trails that branch off to different directions. Some @#$%left some mattresses at cow saddle and a man that came up the road from the private road to the tungsten mine down below told us that jerks like this will eventually cause the trail to be shut down to users. bummer!
