5 fwy to Ave Pico, Head east to La Platta, Left on La Platta till the dead end at the Dog Park or Skate park.
The trail heads (many different ways to go) start behind the dog park on the fire road.
There are several miles of single track mixed in. Most trails end at Chritianitos/Camp Pendalton entrance. From there pick an up hill and head home.

• Trail UpdateGlitter Gulch And Beyond-The trails here pop-up almost overnight, I know there are at least two groups that put together some kick- ass fun and quality trails.

  The park service officially named some of the trails recently in an attempt “legitimize” some of these bootleg trails. The new trail names are typical of what you would expect from a government agency,, Native American Indian names…..what a crock, as if the Indians went up and down the sides of these hills, switch backs, wood plank bridges and all.

  While I won’t name trails others have worked hard to make, I wish the trails were named by the guys that put in the effort. My ridden buddies and I have our own names for the trails ……..Ammo Can, Rick’s, Jeff’s, G-OUT, Switch Back, Glitter Gulch, Sink-Hole, Cow tank, Short side, Long side, Cross-over, Hole- shot, Bone Yard and BATMAN. All of the trails mentioned are single track and there are more trails yet to be finished let alone named.

  Hats off to TWTF and anyone who helps develop this small area.

• Trail UpdateFind the "Batman trail" and be rewarded with a climb you'll never forget (literaly). Find the glitter on "Glitter gultch" and race your heart out on "Holeshot".

• Trail UpdateThe SECRET Is Out.-Their are SO many trails back here. I have been riding these for a while now and I see that more and more people are hitting these trails. I have mixed feelings about that, but I guess the more the marry, to an extent. First of all, besides the fire roads that are back here, and their are many, their are a bunch of single track rides to do. Not the longest but they are absolutly killer trails. If any of you are actually riders, you can push yourself and get a killer ride in. These trails are not like Whitting and thank God they are not! That place is fun and all but totally crowded and not that difficult. The San Clemente trails are shorter for sure, but you can get a bunch of vertical in as well and get in shape. I ride these trails almost everyday and when I goto Aliso or Whitting, I crush all you fools. Get in shape and ride....stop worrying about ticks and scratches. Get on your MT. Bike and ride. If you are going to worry about petty shit like ticks and scratches, get off your Mt. Bike and hit the road. More and more trails are popping up back here and if you have the urge to explore, you can find some sweet ass rides. If you are looking for perfectly groomed, easy, lazy, and crowded rides then goto all the "good" spots I hear you all talk about. Most importantly, have fun and ride.

• Trail UpdateLong And Fun-Wow very fun and tiring. The roads are in great condition. A little confusing with all hte different ways to go but after a while you learn that you just have to stay on the main road. For an extension, once your onto Christianitos Road west I reccomend turning into the state park and following the beach trail all the way to Carls Jr for a great ride.

• Trail UpdateOvergrown And Non-existent-Most of the trails in this area are overgrown and un-ridable. Don't even bother unless you like scratches and ticks. The trails that are not fully overgrown are short. Try somewhere else.

• Trail UpdateDel Cerro-All the single tracks lead to Christianitos via the fire roads/power line roads. They are all in very good shape. Everything connects, so don't worry about getting lost.
  There are alos some new man made trails that you can link to from the dog park that take you to the opther side of Pico. Once on top (water tower north of Pico)
  there are a couple single tracks.
  We ride at lunch from work 3 days out of the week.

• Trail UpdateDel Cerro Trail-I discovered a trail. ou get off from the 5 freeway on pico and head east. Turn right on "La Pata" then again turn right on "del cerro". Travel about 300 yards then..right before an apartment complex called Whispering Winds you will see a trail that leads left and another that leads right...these are paved. Park the car and go towards the one that goes left. Go up it for about 1.5 miles then before you reach the water tower there will be a single track that leads towards the area of the "fence trail". I was wondering if anyone knew if these intersected..i stumbled upon it during a ride on the paved trail and i could not ride it so i am not sure about its conditions but it looked intermediate and mostly single track

• Trail UpdateFence Line Single Track-Not sure if this trail has a real name. It follows the golf course and Pendalton fence line. It is a true Sigle track. some areas have been worked on by someone. I ride during lunch, but would love to spend some time exploring.
  It's a very fun trail, roller coaster style, watch for ticks.
