    • Trail UpdateMonte Cristo To Mill Creek Smt.-Monte Cristo Camp Ground is a nice camp in a grove of sycamores and cottonwoods. It makes a good base camp for several good to excellent rides.
From the camp, go north up the creek bed on a dirt road. The road bends east and enters a side canyon. Climb up this canyon, passing through a small 'hamlet' of private houses. Climb out the back of the canyon and bend north, climbing up onto the large ridge to the east. The road follows some giant power lines along the side of the mountain, then enters a network of roads as it nears Mill Creek Summit. Stick to the power line road, which connects with the Pacifico Mtn. Road in a USFS plantation of pine trees. Go down the Pacifico road to Mill Creek Summit, or up to Pacifico Mtn. (see the Pacifico Mtn. description).
