Take hwy 154 to Paradice road. Go across the first stream crossing and either pay for a day pass or have a Los Padres forest pass to enter. Follow the signs for Upper Osso campground and with the forest pass park off the road, or with the day pass from the consessionier, park in the lot. Climb the fire road for 4 miles to get to the trail head on the right. It's just before the water troughs for horses. Bomb the trail!

- Trail UpdateGreat Ride-Just rode this trail on new years eve. Recommended by the owner of the Trailhead, a good bike store on state St in S.B.. This is a great cross country ride with good signage and a really fun downhill singletrack with lots of switchbacks and not a lot of boulders like front side S.B. Rode with my brother who is not really a mtn bike rider so we went pretty slow but this trail could be ridden pretty fast and its a awesome! Guy at trailhead store said that after the big fire north of Santa Barbara this summer we would see bear, wild turkey and deer and possibly mtn lion because they inhabit region now but only saw two deer. Highly recommend!

- Trail UpdateCamuesa Connector-This is a really great loop ride. The singletrack is perfect and the climb up is not too bad. I parked at lower Oso and followed a singletrack up to Upper Oso. Then climb the fire road for 4 or 5 miles and you'll come to a meadow with a sign. The climb up has some steep parts to it. Make a right and enjoy the next 5 miles of singltrack. When you get to the river, follow the shore to the right for awhile and cross after you come to some Oak trees on the Left. You don't even have to get your feet wet. Return to your car via the paved road for a few miles and break out the beers and apple fritters. Great spot. Santa Barbara riding is choice....

- Trail UpdateCameusa Connector-Latest report, mid-April, 2001: River crossing between Lower and Upper Oso campground is about 12-18" deep, you'll have to carry your bike over it. Little Pine Road has a couple of landslide areas requiring a minor hike-a-bike. First section of Cameusa meadow trail is pretty rutty and some singletrack later in ride is probably a little worse. Some muddy holes in the first mile of Cameusa, but it had rained two days before. Watch for a hazardous downed tree crossing the trail after you're done climbing the short steep stuff and are just beginning to roll. No ticks were found on our skin, still a little early for them I guess. River crossing at the end of Cameusa Connector is up over your knees, so wade carefully. A great ride, one of the best ever for fun singletrack.

- Trail UpdateClassic Frigg'in Fun-This is one of the best trails in Santa Barbara for fast singletrack downhills.
Follows the first 1/4 of the Little Pine fireroad but turns right at the meadow. Absolutely gorgeous scenery mixes it up with fast downhill, cross country, and a bit of technical switchbacks. Drops you into the river - cross it and you are back on Paradise road.
Watch for ticks. I must have pulled a good 9-10 of them off.

- Trail UpdateCamuesa Connector-This ride begins on Little Pine Mountain road which can be a grind if you're not warmed up. Try riding Paradise Road (pavement)to the bottom of the trail, then ride up the connector trail to the LPM road then ride back down the single track. The single track is in perfect condition and 100% rideable. Watch for ticks after the rains. The Forest Sevice may ticket your car if you don't have an adventure pass displayed (bummer!).

- Trail UpdateIt has a lot of different tarrain choices, creek crossing, switchbacks and climbing intervals. When you get to the river, cross it and take a right on the paved road. This whole loop is about 17 miles and takes about 1:40 to 2:15 min. to finish. TAKE A BOTTLE REPEL 100! Lots of ticks. If you have the juice, they won't stick. Really cool views of the river valley below and the Santa Ynez mountain range. Injoy!
