I have a friend at work who is 6'1". if anyone has a hardtail they might want to get rid of and it would fit him, send me an email...he's a beginner, so he might not wanna shell out for a frame only, or something decked out full xtr...but something so so if you have it sitting around collecting dust.
also.
can i get some opinions on an Intense Uzzi SLX? I know someone selling one and was wondering what people thought of it...is it too heavy for normal riding around, or?

let's roll up a character and see what "alignment" we're gonna be before making a big decision like color, right Mighty? Posted by Macrider on 05/28/03

Re: Hardtail. and SLX question.
My belief is that the Uzzi DH was a much better bike. The SLX is plush with the 5th element, but with the standard Fox it doesn't feel like 6 inches.
Additionally, if you like to drop your seat for decents, there is only a limited amount to drop due to the shock positioning.

the slx in question is an '02 with a progressive 5th element shock...not a fox. Posted by MightyWarlock a 28 year old Cross-Country Rider riding a 2002 Blue Turner XCE from Burbank on 05/28/03

Re: Hardtail. and SLX question.
Great bike, but from what I've seen you'll be forever tightening the seat collar on your telescoping seat post. Then you'll wake up in cold sweats after many dreams about that same seat post impaling the 5th element and ripping the resovoir off. Posted by DDawg on 05/28/03
