This is the look & feel of our new message board scripts. With this latest version, we've tried to clean up the look of the message listings & the message threads. We've added new ways to list the messages & added color coding by time stamp. You can now list message by main posts only, latest postings or threaded posts. We try to show you the new postings with color or font type.
Please let us know what you think of this new look. We are looking for your input. Make sure you detail what you like or don't. Over the next few weeks we'll be converting all our message boards to this format. Posted by Webmaster on 11/01/04

Re: Our New MessageBoard Ver 4
Yep - the look of the message listings is cleaner. But it still looks like crap when you have a bunch of replies to one post. Too late to look into vBulletin? Too much of a pain in the ass to convert the old messages over? Just askin.'
And those new MyBikeSite headers are UGLY. Someone went Photoshop crazy. I guess it matches the webworks2.com ad on the bottom.
On the plus side, now I know what company not to go to for my web design needs... Posted by Blackwell a 35 year old on 11/03/04
The message site looks cleaner, but the background needs to go. Bad on the eyes Posted by Real on 11/02/04

Change is good. I just bought a cassette walkman with AM/FM stereo, beats that big boom box I used to shoulder. Posted by CrzyRidr5 riding a ProFlex full suspension on 11/02/04

Re: Our New MessageBoard Ver 4
Just some comments.
1) I don't like the beveling or whatever it's called on the SoCalMtB.com. It makes it hard to read. I think it would look better if it was just flat. The drop shadow looks cool though. I think it would look better if the text was the same shade of red as the menu bar too. It looks slightly different.
2) Those pesky lines behind the text hurt my eyes. They might be ok if the font size was larger. :) I'd prefer a solid background for everything.
Otherwise it looks pretty cool. :) Posted by Mudpuppy a 32 year old on 11/02/04
font looks nice now, and I like the solid background around the text. Posted by Mudpuppy a 32 year old on 11/02/04

This needs a new background the gray lines and small font makes it hard to read.

It looks very different, that's for sure. The "My Bike Site" banner across the top is very dark...I can't see what it's supposed to be even if I crank up my LCD to try.
What the heck happened to our thread about which beers we suggest you try? Posted by EBasil on 11/01/04
I like it. That means you will automatically get five responses that say they don't. Posted by Gringo a 52 year old on 11/01/04
