 trail conditions?
Hey guys,
How do the local trails here hold up when it rains? Are they complete slops? I'm used to east coast stuff, where as long as it's not too wet, you can usually ride in the mud. Do they drain ok?

It really depends on the trail. Some of the lower elevation trails, such as the Santa Monicas, that are clay, are really messy with just a little water. Riding them creates awful ruts. The higher elevations, San Gabriels, for example, have a lot of decomposed granite which drains very well. Stay tuned for input from others.
