    • Trail UpdateMr. Toad's Wild Ride-Mr. Toad's Wild Ride is actually a 4.5 mile section of the Saxon Creek trail -- and it is all downhill. Deep canopy overhead, tree-lined banked turns, and quiet solitude make for an incredibly surreal rush. Rode the trail for the first time on 8-11-00, and immediately deemed this ride to be the total and complete out-of-body experience. Forget about the difficult climb leaving Big Meadows campground; the descent will heal you and make you a believer. Is your existence one of mundane and routine day-to-day living? Drop what you're doing, grab your full-suspension bike (or rent one from the cool guys at Sierra), and head to Tahoe before the winter storms arrive. But know your limitations; otherwise, you'll be smearing the local granite with your DNA.
