Socal - Santa Barbara County - Santa Yenz NickNames: #CamuysaConnector
Take hwy 154 to Paradice road. Go across the first stream crossing and either pay for a day pass or have a Los Padres forest pass to enter. Follow the signs for Upper Osso campground and with the forest pass park off the road, or with the day pass from the consessionier, park in the lot. Climb the fire road for 4 miles to get to the trail head on the right. It's just before the water troughs for horses. Bomb the trail!
Follows the first 1/4 of the Little Pine fireroad but turns right at the meadow. Absolutely gorgeous scenery mixes it up with fast downhill, cross country, and a bit of technical switchbacks. Drops you into the river - cross it and you are back on Paradise road.
Watch for ticks. I must have pulled a good 9-10 of them off.
