Paging Regis
Hey Regis, I got your podium photo from Rim Nordic. It is also up on the results page in the gallery. http://www.geoladders.com/mbr_show_race.php?route=137 Send me your email and I'll send it to you. Nice job and I'll be on the box next time! James Posted by CrossMax a 41 year old Cross-Country Rider riding a A Turner, Titus & Cannondale R2000 from Los Angeles on 06/22/05

Thanks JimN. The real story I thought was how Johnny O'Mara KILLED the course. He had the fastest time of the day. He beat the pros by at least 5 minutes( he is an expert). He passed me on a 20% or so grade of singletrack like I was standing still and I know I wasn't. I didn't know who it was at the time, but that focker was movin. I don't know if it gave me inspiration or depression. Simply amazing. Regis came by and was yelling at me how he was in first place. He is a buzz saw, always at 10,000 rpms. Where are the epic rides these yo? Paz Afuera Posted by Papisimo riding a Trek 9.8, Stumpy Hardtail, Flux, Cannondale R1000 on 06/22/05

Yeah, what's up with O'Mara? I know he dominated Rim Nordic last year, as well, but five minutes better than the fastest pro? Pretty amazing! Epic rides? Honestly, I haven't been doing any lately. Been riding singlespeed exclusively these days, so a simple Chilao loop or a Corral Canyon to Zuma Ridge out-and-back feel like 'epic' rides. I've also been very busy. Getting married in September, so we're spending time planning the big event. Just sold my house, so I'm working on closing the deal and moving to the Westside. Busy, busy...excuses, excuses... I need to get some NM riding tips from you. Our wedding is happening September 23rd in Sedona, and afterwards, we'd like to hit up some good riding in New Mexico and Colorado. I know Colorado very well, but could use some tips on Taos and Santa Fe. Congrats again to you and Regis on your first place finishes. James, stay healthy and get on the podium next race! Ahh, the Savage Land, mmmmm. I am heading out there next week. I'll give full trail updates, to you of course. You're a crazy mutant trying that SS action out, though I am converting my M-4 to one right now. Drop me a line. Paz Afuera Posted by Papisimo riding a Bike on 06/23/05

Congratulations Jim on your pending wedding! The two of you could not have picked a more scenic area to wed. Sounds like the honeymoon will be just as memorable. Hope your home sale and move go smoothly. Posted by Crash on 06/23/05
