I have bought a dozen bikes for my kids over the last 10 years. The kids also raced BMX for several seasons.Simi Bike works and Rick always had great deals and great service. It is a great local shop! If you want to save money buy junk and help China, go to Wal-mart.

I have used this bike shop a few times over the years and every time it has cost me considerable more than what we were told when the bike was dropped off. Latest incident was this week. My daughter dropped off her bike and was told they had a used crank for $25, labor $ 30 and a small brake repair of $3. We were expecting to pay around $60. Once the repairs were created, the crank was $ 40 and they added pedal of $20 that we did not authorize. Get EVERYTHING in writing or they will screw you too. I am NEVER taking a bike to this shop and will not give them any business.

They have little ability to adjust bikes
correctly. They charged me nearly $200 to replace
the pads and adjust my hydraulic brakes. I let
them have 4 chances at correcting their repair.

I ended up at another shop to have them adjust my
brakes correctly for an additional $40.

Nice People, but short on performance. Your bike will not be correctly adjusted. It is a real disappointment to have a serviced bike worse off then if I did it myself.

I came in on a Sunday after church looking for a road bike. A group of teens were working on bikes behind the counter. No one offered any assistance. The boys behind the counter were engaged is some rather foul and disturbing discussions. I'm glad I brought my wife and daughter home before going to the bike shop. I called the owner several days later to inform him of my experience. He apologized, but he still lost my business.

I have been dealing with this company for 10+ years and I must say, the customer service and Rick's knowledge cannot be beat.
You may save a few bills by going to your local wal mart but you definitly won't get the service, help, and inforamative decision that you would get from SBW. I would recomend this store to anyone.

When i wanted to buy a beach cruiser i searched all the bike shops in town and out of town and sbw had the biggest selection with the best service and price. Also, they did a lot of custom work on my hawaii cruiser that other shops would not do. this is a great bike shop and the employees are all extremely friendly and helpful.

If you want to have your crank arm fall off after you have a tune up or something done improperly, go to Simi Bike Works. If not then go else where.
