Bill Wrecht was a charter member of the Long Island Bicycle Club. He also imported Masi's. Along the way he hired John Simonetti, a masi builder and started the Medici Bicycle company. I have a custom built Medici built around 1977. It came with all Campy Nuevo. Fiamme Red Label rims and Clement Criterium Setas. The price? $750.00. I still have this bike. I went from Nuevo Record to Record to C Record to Campys first slant paraellogram shifter back to Record. The bike fits me like a glove. I've been in many a street fight with that baby and always held my own. Still turns heads in this day of carbon fiber light weights

I have just obtained a jet black Medici with gold decals. I was amazed at how well it cleaned up and saw the quality of workmanship and the Campy parts. Where could I find any reviews, age of bike and values. Since the standover height is 35.5" it is too big for me I may sell it. Any suggestions on a fair price would be appreciated.

I recently purchased a Medici track bike from my local shop and it is a blast to ride. It is a 48cm, green and yellow with super-tight clearances. I would love to learn more about its history.

I had a Medici built at Bicycle Workshop in Santa Monica, CA where I also took a workshop to learn how to care for the Campi parts. I just had it tuned by Victor and rode it today along the beach. It's as smooth as when I first rode it.

Have a 1979 Medici, time to repaint, but I need decals. Medici turned Simonetti and now both are MIA. Medici decals anyone?
