Old man ralph.....nobody offered to help you because you are probably a knucklehead. Go elsewhere if you feel you arent taken care of. This shop is great, and has continued to be great to myself, and other family members. A+

Jonny a 43 year old Racer,
I don't know what the "Old Man" is bitching about, but he is probably dead by now. This store is awesome! Holly helped me, a 260lb 6'-1" blob, with an sweet Trek. Holly wasn't pushing any bike or trying to make a deal. I rode one Trek with her by my side. While I felt comfortable, Holly recommended to try another size. She was patient the whole time. I had already bought a Rocky Mountain hardtail a few weeks prior, but the customer service sold me. I have yet to put my Trek down and I ride every evening. Thank you Holly for helping me with my first full-suspension bike purchase. Now why can't Performance learn from JAX's customer service. By the way Performance, is by bike fixed yet?

Lou a 43 year old riding a Trek,
This shop was a big help for finding a road bike. I use to ride a hybrid but finally decided to give a racing bike a try. The staff was a huge help with me in finding a bike that fits. I would recommend this store.

Jax Bikes in Long Beach is GREAT!!! The staff there is very knowledgeable and helpful. I am always greeted w/ a smile each time i visit, whether i'm buying or just to chat. Although that store is always busy on weekends and even packed sometimes during the week, it's worth it. Their road bike and clothing selections are great.

Samantha a 25 year old Weekend Warrior, riding a trek road bike,
I've been in Jax many times over the past ten years and have to say the staff is the rudest and snottiest group I've ever seen. Everytime I've been in Jax, no one acknowledges me, or asks if they can help. I thought this was only isolated to the Long Beach Store, But i got the same treatment in their Yorba Linda shop as well. Before I continue, let me get one thing straight, just about everytime i went to Jax, they were not busy with customers. In otherwords, i was there either as the only customer, or one of a couple people browsing. Sales staff were around, but they were busy with other things, like chatting away, or browsing the store themselves. I always thought customer service was important to small chains. I've been in Kmart, and had sales staff acknowledge more in one visit that Jax has in over three years! They may be friendly to some customers, but I don't think I fit into their mold as an avid cyclist. I'm middle aged, out of shape, and don't exude that "bicycle image". But you know what? I've been cycling for many years, with a very large stable of bikes that include everything from the latest road rig, to a couple of antique bikes i try not to ride too often. I ride just about everything I own, so I am an avid cyclist, and advocate. I'm also a consumer, so I hope Jax's owners read this and take heed. I will probably stay out of Jax and use mail order more often, since Jax doesn't want my business. I will also advise my frends, aquaintances, family and co-workers to shop elsewhere, if they are looking for good customer service.

Old Man Ralph a 46 year old Weekend Warrior, riding a Road, MTN, Bent, tandem.......,
Some staff very unhelpful, prices reasonable. Lots of great selection. Find a cool sales person and it becomes a great store.

Their people were helpful when needed and gave good advice for parts, tuning, etc. They have a BIG selection of bikes, parts, and accessories ;and at some pretty good prices, too. I'd recommend this place to anyone. And no, I don't work for them.

Just purchased my first "real" mountain bike. THERE was a great selection of bikes and parts. The service was excellent and will return for all my accessories and my one full year of free service.
