Terrible communications and complete disregard for customer satisfaction. I've been actively trying to get my bicycle back for the last three months. I brought it in to be packaged and they gave me the wrong bike when I picked up the box on the way out of Claremont. I have yet to receive ANY phone call in return of my 30+ over the past three months. After two months of calling, I finally got someone to refund my credit card for the hundreds of dollars I spent sending them the mistake bike they gave me, but still my bike has not arrived despite repeated assurances that it was "on the way". I'd stay away from Jax bikes unless you want to have the time to babysit the entire process locally. I can't imagine other bike shops in the area could possibly match Jax overall terribleness.

The change in management that took place in April 2006 has had a remarkable positive impact on customer service. I had a very good experience discussing component options and the Bud's team was very helpful in working out some of the final adjustments.

I heard that the people here were friendly, but this has NOT been my experience. I went in for a new front light, and the lady said they didn't carry them...no suggestions, no offer to get one for me, nothing...

I would not recommend this bike shop.. The people who work there (with a few exceptions) are not very friendly.. They seem to think that they are better than you.. I have dealt with this shop off and on for the last 20 years and have never had a good feeling about it.. Coates Schwinn is the shop I would recommend in this area..

I bought my bike here about 2 months ago and was real happy with both the service and the price. Went back last night for an adjustment and again I was well taken care of. They have a pretty large selection of bikes and parts, lots of very cool tandems too! Check 'em out if your in the area!!

An all-around positive experience. I dealt with Steve, who was very friendly and helpful. I did my research first, and I was in and out, including a test-ride and final tuning, within 45 minutes. I would recommend this shop to anyone I know, wholeheartedly.

I was just in there last Saturday. The place was not very busy at the time. They saw me, but no one spoke to me, no one even said hello. In fact, one of the mechanics looked very unfriendly and unapproachable, and later I saw him giving a hard time to someone that needed a repair. I got a very poor first impression of the place. I left.
