Helens Cycles in Westwood is the best of the chain. Easy |
going sales folks and friendly mechanics in the back.
They are the opposite of the prententious Santa Monica
location. Quite refreshing to be able to into a bike shop and
not be approached by bike snobs (ala Santa Monica Helens).
Greg the manager is a good guy and takes the time to help
out. He even went on a test ride with me because I was
such a newbie.
They are a smaller shop than the other location, but they
can quickly get things transferred in just a day or so. So
don't let the small shop discourage you.
Lately, they've been stocking up on some fun bikes like the
Heckler and Rocky Mountain stuff.

The staff at the Westwood Helens are a great
bunch. Gil in service is a good mechanic.
The best Helens are the Westwood and
Marina Del Rey locations. AVOID the Santa
Monica one like the plague. The sales staff
there give the Helens chain a bad reputation.
