 comfortable bike seats?!?!
I just bought a Trek 820 aluminum for me and a new womens trek 820 for my fiancee. We went out for a ride yesterday and came back and both of us were that sore that it was ard to walk when we were done. now I know alot of it was that we over did it but I am also wondering if someone can suggest bike seats that will be a bit more comfortable. I have heard that how your seat is adjusted can play alot on comfort of your butt as well so any advise there would be appreciated as well

thank you

Get nice big cushy seats from sports chalet or supergo. You want the seat to be level so that the nose is not pointing up or down.

Padded shorts help alot. You can get the dorky skin tight lycra shorts (my preference), or ones that look alot like regular shorts except they have padding in them. For the most part, though, you just have to ride a few times before you get used to your bike seats. As long as you aren't going numb anywhere, your seat positioning should be ok, and you'll get used to it after a few rides.
