 I need help!
Hello,

I'm looking to purchase a bike for my boyfriend this Christmas. I don't know anything about bikes, so I'm hoping someone can help me out. He recently went to Scheel's and found some for $450-$500. Is this a decent price? What are the good brands to look for? Where can I get the best deal? I'm not sure what type of biker I would classify him as. We just recently started biking last summer and had fun with it. We like to do it for the exercise and typically do not go more than 10 miles in one day.

Can anyone give me some good advice?

    Based upon what you're saying (...don't know anything about bikes/decent price/what are the good brands/not sure what type of biker...), your mistake would be to buy a bike for him. Let him pick out the bike he wants, and then whip out your plastic.

    Also, if $450 - $500 is your ceiling, get ready for major sticker shock.
