mongoose 40dr torque drive system
just bought bike, gears jump in/out 4 5 6,how do you set torque system to shift and stay in set gear

It's not called a "torque system", but is your derailleur. The issue you're having is in regard to cable tension. Go to Park Tool . com and you can download a step-by-step for adjustment of your rear derailleur. Follow that, and you'll be able to tune it so you don't have the gear skipping problem anymore.
