Ventura area Fire Roads?
Anybody know of any good fire road rides (other than Sulphur Mtn) in the Ventura area?
I was particularly wondering about the fire roads that are just south of Lake Casitas, called Red Mountain, Chismahoo, and Lake Casitas fire roads on the topo map. I'm guessing they are all closed or private.
Thanks for any info. Sometimes I just like to ride a nice fire road on the ss.

The only one I've done near that area is Rose Valley -> Nordhoff Ridge -> almost Chief Peak. The climb up from Rose Valley is paved, but it's a steep focker! Views from Nordhoff Ridge are tremendous...well worth the ride.
