Fisher Sizing Help
Big guy here looking for some help on Fisher sizing. My Stats: 6'4", 35" inseam, 250 lbs.

Have narrowed my new bike selections between two Genesis Hardtails (Big Sur/Hoo Koo) and two G2 29ers (Paragon / X Caliber), all Fisher.

My main question is, with my stats, would I be better off on a XL (21") Genesis or a XL (21") G2 29er? One of my only reasons for still considering a standard 26er is due to the better handling factors, but word on the street is the G2 geometry narrows the handling margin between 26ers and 29ers to almost nothing.

From there, its just deciding whether or not I really need all the Paragon / Big Sur has to offer, or if I will be more than happy with the Hoo Koo / X-Caliber.

Your advice/insight is appreciated.

for a 6'4" u have short legs, best get a Large with a 110/120 mm stem. fishers have unusually longer top tubes which is great for your torso since thats what makes you tall.
as for 29'er, I like them, they go over most rocks much easier than a 26. since you like hardtails the 29 is a better choice, it has less rear pain with the larger wheels than a 26" ht.

I'm 6'3" w/ a 34" inseam, I ride a Fisher Rig (hardtail 29er) I got an XL and it is perfect. It's better to have a shorter stem in my opinion for Mountain biking so I don't really agree with getting a large frame and then a longer stem, thats just my preference though.
As for 29 or 26...I strongly reccomend 29ers for tall people. To me it justy makes sense for a tall person to have a more proportional bike, I honestly don't think I'll ever go back to 26, not because I've jumped on the band wagon but because it works for me. I think it will work for you too. But you are a big dude at 250 so maybe 26 inch wheels will hold up better underneath you...

My back-up bike is a Paragon 26 incher. I am 6'1" and a little over 200 lbs., 32" inseam. The geometry is perfect for me. Maybe even better than my Isis.
