 NEW BIKE- IS IT GOOD
I would like to get started in BMX riding (Street stuff, not dirt or racing) and want to get a bike. Now I work at Performance bike shop which is mostly mountain and road bike stuff but i get sick deals on bikes. We sell GIANT bikes and I can get the Giant Modem GX for like 150ish. Is this a crappy ass bike or is it a good call? please give me any other advice for starting up in BMX. (From the ground litterally) go to http://www.giantbicycles.com/us/030.000.000/030.000.000.asp?model=11071 to see the Modem GX. We also carry GT, Iron Horse, SE racing, Fuji, Schwinn, Monggose. If any other of these carriers carry some nice bikes please tell me, even if they are high end, I can get some sweet deals.

Build your own fool. If u are serious--KINK, S&M and FBM make sick frames. Add a S&M Roughneck stem,
Pitch Fork, FBM cranks, 14mm axle Oddssey wheels, S&M handlebar, Snafu pedals, and u will have a nice bike.
    Forget that pre-made shiit.

I guess we shouldn't ask the guys at Performance bike shop for advice, since not even the employees do.

Cool, I did find out that we can prodela other bikes that we dont sell, so any other ideas. Building a bike sounds swee, but I wanted to start riding so it seems like kinda a bitch to go through all that. So if there are any fairly big name brands that I could get let me know, and once I get this bike, how should I start? Remember I am a total beginner.

the fockin Diamondback JOKER is a good entry level. It has a 3 piece crank and some decent parts.
U say u get a discount on d-back so thats cool. The d-back Venom is nice as well. The Mongoose Menace
is a good start too, but I lean towards the Joker myself. Once u start to rail and manual and do some tricks its time
to move on to a lighter bike as u will appreciate u silly mother fockah
