 Teaser ...
I'm on the road gathering miles and tales to tell., all within the next few days.

Marin County's China Camp was very scenic, Tamarancho Ranch it's something else., low flying Buzzrads and all
Yesterday;s ride in Santa Cruz's Brail trails are bomb-a-holic, well worth the climb.

last week had no bike in Sequoi but took a horse out for a few hours, complemented by crispy clear waters in Hiunting Lake, not that cold after all.

at the moment, bud free and i& stuck and blahbing away after a bunch of Cosmos in Waikiki Beach. darn it,
I'll rent a bike in the morning and go exploring :), (will follow my nose sort of speak)
may even buy a darn disposable camera and take sweet solo pics.

Party on Brothers :)

  •  Re: Teaser ... from Oahu's Kailua Beach
    So, there I was.

My first Road Bike ride in Oahu.

Hot sun on my back, sweat dripping down my face, eyes burning from it, heart pounding away, crossing towns and open fields, experiencing new places and lost as usual, but hey! and as always, that's where the fun is.

Trade Winds blowing their warm breezes by me, pushed upwards by those emerald green cliffs, cooling them self and releasing a cool mist.

A few colorful miles go by.

Unknown to me, somehow I managed to reach Kailua Beach, what a magnificent place!
White powdery sand, so finely grounded by the Va y Ven of the waves. Leaned bike against a palm tree, removed gear and dove right in, the warm ocean washed away the sweat, it calmed my senses, it sooth my soul. So there I lay, floating about, letting the current take me away, catching some rays, sweets girls all about, older couples resembling Doves in Forever Love, sync with each other as nature would have it.

Eventually was time to pedal home, newly made friends told me about short cuts, the mountains seem to be on the other side of where I thought they should be., but so what, it's all for the best.

Pedaling away I went, afternoon wind on my back, a left, then a right, another left and so on, hills reappeared not far ahead, sun now obscured by Big 'ol gray clouds, rain dropped over me. The aroma of the seas mixed with Red Clay. While cruising through Waimanalo, Plantains and Spam with Rice announced that Dinner time was near., traffic was heavy, and most enchanting aroma me it's appearance ahead of me, I concurred that it found me, as I slowly rolled pass cars until it did not smelt it anymore, so I slowed too a crawl, the sweet aroma came back, car full of locals grinned away as I exclaimed Yippee!!!
Local loved was shown, I sure welcomed it, poofed it and the whole ride seem differently. Mother Nature forces took over, smooth breezes turned into wind, head wind that is. colors seem brighter yet the heavy rain stung me. The munchies creped up, not far away a sweet Guava tree I see , it's fruits litter the road, not a bad deed, so there I rested, devouring a few with much gusto, reaching up for a few more for the long trek home. Wind and rain may sting me, but the sweet tree rewarded it.

Thanks you locals whom made me feel so welcome to this beautiful place.
Only been here for a week and i must say, this place and it's people are IT.

  •  Re: Teaser ... I was attacked last night
    I was attacked last night,

It was awful, this what happened...

Got home after a few Jack's & Coke, opened a window that does not have screen, and, within minuts, this HUGE cucaracha flew in, you know, the big fookers, I flipped out as it landed very close to me.

So, had to think fast, got up slowly and grabbed a napkin, the thing somehow saw me and started to run towards the fax machine, I said "hold On Big Feller" after 3 tries I was able to grab the darn thing., then trew it out of the window it came from, closed and thought it was all over.

Well, I guess it was not, within minuts it was back, flying into the glass window over and over, trying to get in again.
It was kind of scary as the thing keeped bangin against the window for a few mintus, eventually went away, YACKKKKK !!!!!

I though it wanted to fight me or something.

Rocky, chu ain't got nuthings on me, chasing chikens, HA!!!
try runing around drunk catchin roachez <8~p

Franky, this place is a ghost town...move on....mtbr is calling....ridemonkey, Tam's website, etc.
You can't revive it all on yer own...CR3, STP, SAK, and a few hearty others tried...but it is gonna take more that those "Super Friends" to do the job!
