Claremont Wilderness Park/Girls on 6" travel rides
I did a 40 mile road ride to Lytle Creek this morning. The wind was blowing pretty hard by Sierra, but I still had a good time.

I got back early and felt like I still needed some more miles, so I took off on the MTB for CHWP. When I got to the parking lot, there was a sign that said it was closed due to the fire hazard, but I went up anyway. A city truck was coming out......apparently they just opened it back up. Cool.

I went up Burbank Canyon and did a good job on the climb, staying in the middle ring the whole way. It was totally deserted, but finally a biker past me by yellow gate, going the opposite way. I then headed down Cobal and let it loose. When I hit the red dirt straightaway, I max'd at 34 MPH.

But.......there was a girl ahead of me on a 6" travel ride, and man, she was smokin'! She was working every inch of travel for all it was worth! I thought she was going to blow a seal or something, as that thing was bottoming out!. Oh wait, I forgot to tell you one minor detail. The 6" travel ride was her boyfriend. Yep, they were doin't it right on the side of the road. I slowed down to about 10 miles an hour as I passed them, just so I could get a good look at her a$$, which was fine. I just smiled at them, said "nice!" and continued around the corner.

Too bad I didn't have a camera with me.

I've been told the wild life has been getting out of control in those areas but hey no complaints. So where was you camera phone?? that would have been a good image to pop up everytime your riding buddies called. Ahhhh sometimes you just have to admire the scenery
